The ALFA project is heading to Spain for its next Mutual Learning Workshop, focusing on Spain’s biogas journey—from global insights to local action. This workshop invites stakeholders, policymakers, industry leaders, and farmers to explore key developments and challenges in the biogas sector.

Destination: Granja La Carbona – CycleØ biogas plant, Vallfogona de Balaguer, Lleida
CycleØ is transforming the agricultural sector through sustainable biogas solutions. The visit will highlight Spain’s first biogas plant with ammonium stripping technology, allowing nitrogen recovery from livestock waste and converting it into sustainable fertilizer. This innovative circular model:
✅ Cuts 9,000 tons of CO₂ annually
✅ Produces up to 15,000 MWh of renewable energy
✅ Supports cost savings and decarbonization for rural communities
Participants will enjoy a guided technical tour, featuring CycleØ’s modular biogas purification technology by FNX.
